If you're unable to edit a CP, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
You’re in read-only mode
To check if you're in read-only mode, look at the end of the CP’s URL:
If the URL does not end with
/1
, you're in read-only mode.To switch to editable mode, add
/1
to the end of the URL and press Enter.
The CP is already open in another tab
If you see an error message stating that the CP is open in multiple tabs, it likely means you have the same CP open in another browser tab or window.
Solution: Close any duplicate tabs with the same CP open. The remaining tab will automatically switch to editable mode once the duplicates are closed.
Another user is editing the CP
If the CP is locked and you're not the active editor, another team member with edit access may currently be viewing the CP.
Solution: Reach out to the colleague who may have the CP open and ask them to exit the page. Once they do, you’ll be able to access it in edit mode.
